Although nobody knows the exact answer to how the history of music has exactly started and developed from there, almost all cultures have their own mythical origins concerning its invention, generally rooted in their respective mythological, religious or philosophical beliefs.
About the Evolution of Music
Music has significantly evolved throughout its existence with large changes through various historical periods, most notably focusing on Western classical music. Those periods are: Medieval, dominated by religious, monophonic music; Renaissance, known for its rich, polyphonic texture, featuring multiple independent melodic lines woven together; Baroque, with lots of ornamentation, contrast, and emotional expressiveness; Classical Era, with its development of symphony, sonata, and string quartet; Romantic Era, which was emotional, expressive, often large-scale compositions; 20th century, with its tremendous diversity of classical modernism, jazz, popular music, electronic music, etc.
